BCPS to host Maryland Multicultural Conference What: The annual Maryland Multicultural Conference, co-sponsored by BCPS, centers around discussions about multicultural education and outreach. With the theme, "Deliberate Excellence: Pursuing High Expectations for ALL Learners," the conference features author and educator Geneva Gay and more than two dozen breakout sessions on topics such as teaching students in poverty, engaging multicultural students and creating educational equity for all learners. Pinewood Elementary School celebrates Earth DayWhat: Pinewood Elementary School will honor Earth Day with a host of "green" activities and celebrations, including grade level assemblies featuring "The Energy Conservation Challenge Show" and team-building events related to "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle."
