TOWSON, MD— As a result of anticipated inclement weather, the Board of Education of Baltimore County has amended its March 5, 2013, agenda as follows:
The Building and Contracts Committee of the Board will meet at approximately 4:00 p.m. The full Board will meet in open session at approximately 4:30 p.m. to discuss upcoming school board association events, school system and community meetings, and items of interest to Board members. The Board will then move immediately into closed session. The Board will resume its open session at 6:00 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m.

Advisory councils, stakeholder groups, and public comment on policies have been deferred until the March 19, 2013, meeting. Board of Education Policy 6200, School Libraries, and Policy 6307, Patriotic Exercises, scheduled for public comment on March 5, will be remanded to the Policy Review Committee of the Board for further evaluation. General public comment will remain on the agenda with sign-up times beginning at 4:30 p.m. To accommodate those who would like to speak during the public comment period, sign up will be available until 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to arrive before the meeting begins but would like to speak, please contact the Board of Education office at 410-887-4126, prior to 4:45 p.m. to have your name placed on a public comment card. However, please be reminded that the Board will randomly select 10 names from those who are signed up to speak at the March 5 Board meeting.
The meeting will be held in the ESS Building, Room 114, on the Greenwood Campus, 6901 Charles Street, in Towson. The public is welcome to attend all open sessions of the Board.
