TOWSON, MD. – Twenty-three Baltimore County Public Schools students placed in the Distributive Education Club of America (DECA) Regional Conference, hosted at Perry Hall High School on February 12, 2013.
During the conference, students demonstrated their knowledge of business management and administration, finance, hospitality and tourism, and marketing by completing written assessments and conducting informational presentations related to the principles of business operations, entrepreneurship, marketing, professional selling, and team decision-making. Area business partners served as judges for the students' presentations.
Approximately 170 students from Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Harford counties participated in the conference, a practice event for the DECA State Career Development Conference, which will take place in Annapolis, Maryland, on Thursday, March 7, 2013, and Friday, March 8, 2013.
