TOWSON, MD. – Sudbrook Magnet Middle School, in collaboration with its sister school, Yamazaki Junior High School, located in Moka City, Japan, has entered the Follett Challenge. Sponsored by the Follett Corporation, the Follett Challenge rewards schools for their innovative approaches to education. To participate in the Challenge, schools nationwide submitted videos 3-5 minutes in length that reflected technology’s role in promoting student creativity, critical thinking, and engagement in the classroom. For its project, Sudbrook Magnet Middle created a video highlighting the use of a customized wiki to facilitate communication in both English and Japanese between its students and those of its Japanese sister school.
