TOWSON, MD — A special “Summer Edition” episode of “BCPS News,” which spotlights Baltimore County Public Schools’ achievements and progress, is on the air through Sunday, August 4. Mary Beth Marsden, a local Emmy Award®-winning broadcaster, hosts the show.
This special 15-minute episode includes stories about:
- Evan Michael, a student at Parkville High School and a country singer who is on his way to stardom.
- Holabird Middle, a school that joined “My Healthy World,” an innovative, digital education program, which features a series of mobile apps for health and wellness education for elementary and middle schools.
- Western School of Technology students’ celebration of cultural diversity through their “Cultural Coalescence,” a festival during which the students gathered to share stories, foods, and dances representing their heritage.
- BCPS “mathletes” who competed in rounds of the 24 Game, a game designed to improve skills in mental computation, pattern recognition and deductive reasoning, during the annual M&T Bank Math Challenge.
